Timecard Entry and Approval 2007

Sample Template

@Pak Timecards Summary

@Pak Timecards allows InfoPath 2007 users to enter time against any number of User defined Projects and Tasks; all maintained in the SQL database. A Unique Reference, for each timecard, is assigned to track hours for any length period (i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.).

Timecard ApprovalWork in Process timecards can be saved during the period and remain ‘Open’ until they are ‘Submitted’ for approval. After submission, the timecard can be ‘Approved’ or ‘Rejected’. Rejected timecards can be re-opened by the submitter for correction and resubmission. Templates to maintain timecards and templates to approve timecards have different security roles.

All templates in this @Pak come in two versions and both have identical features and functions. The Network Version can be deployed to a shared network location or SharePoint. The Web Service version updates the database remotely using a Web Service. This means that all Employees, Suppliers, and Vendors see the data the same way regardless of how and where templates are used.

Filters and Selections

Unlimited rows can be maintained in the database but you do not want all those rows in a view. Rows can be selected with Smart filters by User, Reference Number, Date, Project, Tasks, etc. This makes selection easy and fast! Example: List top 10 Submitted Timecards for Project ‘ACME’ in descending order by Date.
